NY Creative Interns is looking for a Managing Editor to join our volunteer team!
Our blog sees over 50k pageviews a month and we’re looking for a stellar writer with great people and organization skills to continue to expand our reach and community of guest bloggers.
-Collaborate with our founder to create an editorial calendar and recruit writers to create the content we need through our volunteer and speaker network
-On-board guest contributors and keep tabs on their deadlines; making sure posts get written on time and make expectations clear.
-Keep blogger guidelines updated
-Send all new posts through our copy editor
-Make sure recap posts are written for each event
-Create any “housekeeping” content needed for sponsors and to promote events
-Make sure we have 2-3 posts a week at the minimum
-Excellent knowledge of Wordpress
-Experience with Google Docs
-Writing samples (blog posts, online articles, etc)
-5-10 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months
-1 Volunteer meeting a month
